La coopérative oléicole “La Colombe”
La coopérative fut créée en 1933 – 1934. Il est le seul moulin à huile qui continue de fonctionner produisant une huile vierge de qualité. Le moulin à huile Chivallier dans la rue des pra-marri s’arrêta en 1933 quand la coopérative fut ouverte. Le moulin à huile Neyron s’arrêta en 1956 après le gel des oliveraies de la région.

THE OIL MILL “La Colombe”
The cooperative “la Colombe”, (the dove) dedicated to the transformation of olives into oil was created in 1933-1934. It is the only olive oil still functioning nowadays in Malemort. The Chivallier olive oil in the street of the “Pra-marri” stopped in 1933 when the cooperative opened. The Neyron olive mill stopped in 1956 after the historical frost where most of the olive trees in the area died.
