Hôtel Sylvestre et Musée

Cet espace était une terre agricole appartenant à la maison bourgeoise du dessus. Elle était l’Hôtel  Sylvestre construit en 1790. (hôtel était le nom donné à une maison bourgeoise au Seizième siècle). Le bâtiment est à présent communal, et a été transformé en logements sociaux. A côté, le Musée. Il était la cave de l’Hôtel Sylvestre, construite ou aménagée en cave en 1792, date portée sur l’entrée. La cave a été aménagée en musée agricole.

Sylvester Hotel and Museum

Let’s begin our visit by the Silvester hotel. This is the big pink house we are in front of. The car park around you used to be an agricultural land belonging to the bourgeois house. Built in 1790, the house was entitled the “hotel Sylvestre” ( “hotel” was the name given to a bourgeois house in the 16th century).  The building now belongs to the village and has been transformed into social housing. You are here in front of the cellar of the house. It was built or converted into a cellar in 1792, the date that you can see written on the entrance. The cellar is now an agricultural museum.
